It's hard to believe that in the boonies of upstate New York, the makings of one hell of a bad-ass roller derby league can be found. Plattsburgh Roller Derby and it's first team, The North Country Lumber Jills, began Spring of 2010 as an all-female, flat-track derby league, proving that roller derby is the kind of sport that can be found anywhere.
Plattsburgh Roller Derby recently became an official non-profit organization in New York State and is also officially insured through USA Roller Sports. We continue to dedicate our time and energy to community service, fundraising, business ventures, and most importantly, practicing our fishnet-clad asses off.
MISSION STATEMENT:
Plattsburgh Roller Derby aims to bring awareness to the public about the sport of Womens Flat Track Roller Derby. Through competition, community service, and fundraising we dedicate our time to furthering the understanding of Roller Derby and female athleticism.
